A Friendship that began over coffee
The visual hands behind the scenes
Some stories at TYBO begin with clay. Others begin with coffee. This one starts with a coffee mug. Noa Sophie Stoustrup first wandered into the shop when it was tucked on the corner of Haderslevgade. She was looking for a beautiful mug. She found one, and something more.
"I was just looking for a mug… I didn’t know I’d find a place that would come to feel like home. Working with TYBO feels like being part of something real. Something with weight, with care."
A quiet eye for detail
Since that first visit, Noa has become an integral part of the TYBO universe. A graphic designer with a sharp eye and a soft touch, she’s built both of our websites, created countless visuals, and brought consistency and calm to our brand’s expression.
Noa’s work reflects the same sensibility that drew her to TYBO in the first place. An appreciation for clean form, quiet beauty, and honest materials. She spent part of her maternity leave here, baby on her hip, gently guiding us through new decisions and new directions.
The Mug That
Bears Her Name
Over time, Noa’s presence has become woven into the fabric of TYBO. Not just through her work, but through her way of seeing us.
So, when we shaped a new mug, designed for a perfectly balanced cappuccino, it felt only natural to name it after her.
The Noa Mug has a soft, generous curve that fits comfortably in the hand. It’s simple, tactile, and quietly expressive.
Naming a piece after her is a small way of honouring the many ways she’s shaped our story.
A New Perspective
Through the Lens
Lately, Noa has picked up a camera. Adding yet another layer to her creative contribution at TYBO. With a freshly acquired camera in hand, she has begun documenting the pieces she once came in to find.
Her eye brings a calm presence to each frame. She captures ceramics not just as objects, but as part of a lived-in world with light, texture, and warmth.
“There’s something very grounding about photography,” Noa says. “And I love looking at beautiful images. The kind that make you feel something. I think that’s why I’ve always been drawn to photographers like Petra Kleis and the way she captures people and objects with such honesty and unfiltered elegance. The light, the tones, the simplicity. I still have a lot to learn, but it feels like a craft that complements everything I already love about design.”
With a gentle eye for tone, light, and composition, she continues to refine the way TYBO is experienced.
Thank you, Noa. For the friendship, the generosity, and all the thoughtful details.
We’re so grateful to have you as part of our story.
